Sessions Hours Typical Day Extended Care Summer Camp Additional Programs FAQ's

Pre-school is a special time of life.. and play is an integral part of it.  It is a child's way of learning about others and the world around them.  The curriculum invites their participation because it's for 3s and 4s and 5s.  We might fix up the room like a rain forest dangling with monkeys and snakes, or an undersea aquarium.  We show them sounds letters make and let them try them out on paper.  We write down their thoughts, read books, sing songs, and act them out.  We believe an imagination is a terrible thing to lose.

At Oak View we try to make the children comfortable with us and their environment.  The daily routine offers security and structure.  Children are free to explore various activities, such as playdough, puzzles, and other fun things we have set out for them.  Everyday there is also a planned event that could be an art experience, a cooking project, a scientific observation or musical instruments.

These early years are magic years that remain a part of us forever.  Teachers and parents who enjoy them with their children grow in wisdom and understanding.

A Typical Day for your child at Oak View will include lots of fun and learning through music, stories, art and free play. Below are some details you'll need to know before enrolling your child.

Oak View Nursery school is open from 7:00am to 6:00pm offering before and after nursery school program care at an hourly rate or part of the flat rate fee. Activities for this time can be viewed as part of the Typical Day.

Our Summer Program is geared for preschool children and children who will be attending kindergarten. We spend most of our time outdoors taking in the fresh air and blue sky. Each day we will offer different art activities, and/or cooking projects; maybe two and some science too.. perhaps we'll have a circus, hang out with dinosaurs or fly to outer space. Summer is a time for adventure at Oak View.

It's a playful, fun introduction for children who will be starting school for the first time in September, and it's a wonderful change from the normal routine for those already enrolled.

Camp hours are 9:15 to 12:15 (includes lunch time) with before and after care available. Orientation will be offered. If you are interested in attending please contact us.
